Law Firm SEO

# Law Firm SEO Built to Turn Search Visibility Into Signed Cases Search strategy, AI, web engineering and intake data, worked as one system so the right clients find you and more of them retain.

Let’s talk about your firm See what SEO actually involves

I’m Carlos Arias. Your rankings don’t pay the bills — signed cases do. I combine SEO, AI search, content, web engineering and intake data to help law firms attract the right clients and turn more of those opportunities into retained cases. 25+ years across marketing and software engineering, with one person accountable for connecting the strategy to the result.

The real question

## Your agency reports traffic. Who’s tracking the cases?

Rankings up, more keywords, a report that says everything’s moving in the right direction. But how many qualified leads did that traffic produce, how many consultations were booked, and how many cases were signed?

If nobody can answer those questions, you have a reporting problem and probably a marketing problem. SEO shouldn’t sit in a separate department from your website, your intake team and your CRM — all of them decide whether a person searching for a lawyer becomes a client.

So I treat SEO as part of the whole acquisition path: what people search for, why they pick one firm over another, what happens when they make contact, and where the opportunities are being lost. That’s how I decide what to fix — not by stopping at the traffic line on a chart.

Intake, not rankings

Why me

## Marketing strategy and the systems to run it, from one person.

25+ years across digital marketing and software engineering lets me see a firm’s growth problem from both sides — the strategy, and what it takes to execute it.

### I look beyond rankings

Visibility, site performance, lead quality, intake activity and the data connecting them. If your SEO produces leads that never become consultations, I want to know why before I recommend spending more.

### I can build what the strategy requires

SEO recommendations usually depend on technical execution — restructuring a site, connecting a CRM, building a reporting integration. My engineering background means I work on those directly, not hand them off.

### I use AI to improve the work, not replace judgment

AI-powered systems for research, content workflows, data analysis and automation reduce repetitive work and surface opportunities faster. Legal accuracy, attorney review and business judgment stay essential.

### You work with Carlos

Not an account manager relaying your notes to a developer and a content team. I develop the strategy and coordinate the specialists needed to execute it. No agency layers, no generic package.

What I do

## Law firm SEO, from the audit to the signed case.

Most firms don’t need all nine at once. Each is worth doing on its own; together they’re a system, and a system is only worth what its weakest link converts.

- ### SEO Audit & Competitive Analysis Find out what's working before spending on more. Technical health, indexing, visibility, content, links and conversion paths, plus the firms you actually compete with. The output is a prioritised strategy, not a 100-page audit nobody implements.
- ### Keyword Research & Practice-Area Strategy Rank for the cases you want, not everything. A personal injury firm, an immigration practice and an estate planner should not run the same strategy. I map how your clients actually search and where you can realistically compete.
- ### On-Page SEO & Website Conversion Ranking a page is only the first half of its job. Structure, titles, internal links and relevance, plus the credibility and clear next step that turn a visitor into a consultation. Every important page gets a purpose in the acquisition system.
- ### Legal Content Strategy & Development Content built on client questions, not keyword volume. Practice-area pages, guides and FAQs built around what a prospective client needs before they decide to call. AI helps with research and drafts; sources, accuracy and attorney review stay non-negotiable.
- ### Local SEO & Google Business Profile Win the map pack that sits above the blue links. Profile optimisation, local landing pages, reviews and consistent business data, done properly for multi-office firms. No one can pay Google for a Maps position — we improve the factors that actually move it.
- ### AI Search Optimization Be discoverable when clients ask an assistant, not a search box. Content structure, entity signals and helpful answers that hold up across AI Overviews, AI Mode and ChatGPT search. There's no secret schema — Google says the SEO fundamentals still carry the AI results.
- ### Technical SEO & Web Engineering A fast, crawlable site that people and search engines can use. Indexing, architecture, redirects, structured data, mobile performance and Core Web Vitals. Because I'm a software engineer, I can implement the fix, not just name it.
- ### Authority Building & Digital PR Make real-world authority visible, not manufacture it. Relevant, credible opportunities — legal organisations, publications, associations and community ties — not a monthly quota of bought links. Most firms under-communicate the standing they already have.
- ### Reporting, Attribution & Intake Intelligence Connect search performance to what happens in the business. Search Console, analytics, call tracking, forms, CRM and intake, wired so you see which pages produce qualified opportunities and where they're lost. Where data can't support an ROI figure, I say so.

Not one-size-fits-all

## SEO isn’t the same for every practice area.

A generic strategy treats every lawyer as though they sell the same service. They don’t. The plan starts with the client you want to attract.

- ### Personal Injury Lawyers Highly competitive and driven by local visibility, practice-area authority and conversion. Truck accidents, catastrophic injury and wrongful death each need a different play — and intake, because a missed call is a lost case that was expensive to generate.
- ### Medical Malpractice Lawyers A more specialised approach. Prospective clients research surgical errors, birth injuries and delayed diagnoses long before they call, so the content has to demonstrate legal understanding without making unsupported claims.
- ### Immigration & EB-5 Lawyers National and international search, multiple languages and a long decision. An EB-5 investor searches nothing like a local injury client — the strategy runs on investor education, business immigration and pages built to qualify the right prospect.
- ### Other Practice Areas Family law, bankruptcy, tax resolution and others where the right mix of visibility, conversion and business systems creates real growth. The strategy starts with the client you want to attract, not a generic keyword list.

How it works

## How I work with your law firm.

1. ### Understand the business before building the strategy Your practice areas, markets, current marketing and available data. I want to know what a qualified case looks like to your firm and what happens after someone contacts you.
2. ### Build a strategy around your priorities A plan set by your goals, competition and resources — often improving existing pages before creating new ones. I prioritise the work with the strongest business case, not a fixed count of articles.
3. ### Execute, measure, and adjust I work on the strategy directly and coordinate the technical, content and specialist resources it needs. If something isn't producing the expected result, I want to understand why and change the approach.
4. ### Connect the results to business decisions Reporting focused on what matters — visibility, qualified leads, consultations and signed cases where the data supports it. The point is to help your firm decide where to invest next.

The scorecard

## A ranking report is useful. It isn’t enough.

What traditional SEO reports What I want your firm to understand Keyword rankings Which searches and pages attract relevant prospects Organic traffic How much of that traffic becomes a qualified inquiry Form submissions and calls Which inquiries become consultations Total lead volume Which leads fit your firm's case criteria Monthly SEO activity What was done and what it's expected to improve Marketing spend Cost per qualified lead and, where data allows, per signed case

Not every firm can measure all of this on day one — part of the work is often improving the tracking so the information exists. On AI search, Google added generative-AI performance reporting to Search Console in 2026 (worldwide as of 31 August 2026), giving impressions, pages, countries and devices for AI features — more direct than third-party estimates. I’d rather flag a gap in the data than present an ROI figure it can’t support.

Investment

## What does law firm SEO cost?

It depends on the work required to compete. A small firm in a specialised local market doesn’t need the resources of a PI firm across several metros. The site’s current condition, practice-area competition, content and technical needs all set the scope.

I don’t think a firm should pick a plan because it lists 50 keywords, four articles and a fixed number of backlinks. I’d rather determine what your firm needs and explain what the investment is meant to accomplish. Some engagements are SEO strategy and execution; others need website work, analytics or intake integrations.

The question isn’t how many deliverables you can buy. It’s whether the investment makes sense for the cases your firm wants.

  Discuss your SEO strategy

### Why I don’t promise #1 rankings or guaranteed ROI

No one controls Google’s rankings, and no one can guarantee a page appears in an AI-generated answer. Performance depends on competition, the quality of the site, the usefulness of the content, the firm’s reputation and factors outside anyone’s control. What I can do is assess the opportunity, explain the strategy, execute the work and measure the results as accurately as the data allows — and hold legal marketing to a higher standard of accuracy while doing it.

Questions firms ask

## Straight answers, including the limits.

     What is law firm SEO?

Improving a law firm's visibility in organic search so prospective clients find its website when researching a legal question or looking for an attorney. It spans technical SEO, content, practice-area strategy, local search, authority and conversion. My approach also examines how that visibility connects to qualified leads and signed cases.

How long does SEO take to work for a law firm?

There's no universal timeline. Technical fixes and existing-page optimisation can move relatively quickly; competing for established, high-value legal searches takes considerably longer. I set a baseline, prioritise the work and evaluate progress over time rather than promising a fixed date for rankings or leads.

Is SEO worth it for personal injury lawyers?

It can be, but the economics matter. PI SEO is often highly competitive and not every keyword is worth pursuing. I look at the cases you want, the markets you serve, the cost of competing and lead quality — a strategy that produces fewer but more relevant opportunities can be worth more than one that just adds traffic.

Can SEO help my firm appear in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?

SEO can make your site discoverable and understandable across traditional and AI-powered search, but it can't guarantee inclusion or a recommendation. Google says its established SEO best practices still apply to AI features, and OpenAI publishes guidance on allowing its search crawler. I use those foundations plus clear content and consistent business signals.

Do law firms still need blog content?

Yes, when it serves a real purpose — answering a client's question, supporting a practice-area page, explaining a process or demonstrating knowledge. Publishing articles to hit a monthly quota is not a strategy. I prefer a smaller number of useful, well-researched pages over large quantities of generic content.

How do you measure SEO ROI?

The strongest measurement connects marketing spend to qualified leads and signed cases, with revenue included when the firm can provide it. That needs reliable tracking and consistent CRM records. Rankings and traffic stay useful indicators, but they aren't revenue — and where attribution is incomplete, I explain the limits rather than invent a precise return.

Do you work with our existing website and CRM?

Yes. I can evaluate your existing systems and work with them where practical. If the website, CRM or reporting setup is limiting performance, I can recommend improvements or build integrations where appropriate — my engineering background lets me address the technical and marketing problems together.

What makes you different from a traditional law firm SEO agency?

I combine marketing strategy with software engineering, data analysis and AI automation, so I can look past rankings to how the website, tracking, intake and CRM affect the result. I work directly with your firm and focus on building a better acquisition system, not delivering a generic SEO package.

Let’s talk

## Not another SEO report. A better acquisition strategy.

Traffic but not enough cases can be the wrong keywords, weak landing pages, a technical problem, or your intake — often a mix. Tell me what your firm is running now, and you’ll get a straight assessment from the person who’d actually do the work.
